After reading other people’s blogs about their 2019 birding experiences, we were motivated to share a few of our photos with you. After a lot of culling, processing and checking on ABID, we’ve finally finished our list of the birds we photographed in WA, last Spring.
We had no intention of going to WA this year but when we heard about the BirdLife Photography Conference in Perth in September we started planning. We highlighted all relevant eBird lists, plotted a route using WikiCamps, packed our van and headed off in early August.
At the conference Gaz enjoyed learning about contemporary photography processes and we met some amazing bird photographers willing to share their knowledge and experiences.
We found lots of birds in a wide variety of environments as we drove through NSW, SA and around the south west of WA.
After 3 months and 15000 kms we were glad to be back to the Zone of Happiness on the Sunshine Coast.
