STANMORE SEPTEMBER WALK / CONVOY

Female Kestrel.

Cove Road in Stanmore is an unappreciated locale for birding. And for a variety of reasons, possibility of rain, distance and covid, numbers for our weekend outing were down; keeping it still unappreciated. Twelve people in fact turned up to the meeting place in Peachester and enjoyed a gentle two hours of birding as we rolled through a few of the habitat options on the length of Cove Road.

Nearly 90 bird species were recorded for the morning, although a few of these were through call only.

A good morning overall.
